Remember the days when Tom Holland would just openly spoil something for Marvel fans and not even realize he was doing it? For example, he spoiled Avengers: Infinity War for an entire theater of fans. Well, now it seems as if Marvel is getting ahead of the curve and handing him some spoilers that he’s allowed to give out!
To be quite honest, I love Tom Holland very much. I affectionately refer to him as “my son,” but I watch his interviews mainly hiding behind my hand because he does, in fact, spoil the majority of the Marvel movies he’s a part of. Seriously, here’s a video where a fan has compiled four minutes of Holland just … volunteering up information.
Since he loves giving these things out so much, Marvel has turned that tendency to their advantage. When the trailer for Spider-Man: Far From Home was coming out, they had Holland be the one to release it, going to his Instagram to share it with fans.
Granted, it was a bit of a mess, but at least they could control what Holland spoiled versus him just openly telling everyone that Spider-Man meets Mantis in Avengers: Infinity War before any of us saw the movie.
So now, he got to release the posters for Far From Home!
While fun and giving us a cool look into the next Spider-Man film, it also shows where Peter Parker will go with his friends this summer. From London to Venice to Berlin, he’s is going to have quite the adventure ahead of him—that is, if the Avengers defeat Thanos first.
(We still don’t know when Spider-Man: Far From Home fits in the Marvel canon, but the trailer sure feels like Tony Stark is dead.)
So, what is going to happen when Peter Parker meets Mysterio in Europe? Is he finally going to go on a real date with MJ? We’ll have to wait and see when Spider-Man: Far From Home hits theaters on July 5th. Hopefully we get a glimpse of Peter Parker in Endgame though. I need my Spidey fix!
