Who Needs Sports When We Have a New TV Spot for Avengers: Endgame?

Recommended Videos

Who lives, who dies, who is going to tell the Avengers’ story? Sure, we’re all watching a football game, but Marvel is also out here releasing a new TV spot for Avengers: Endgame. The last we saw of our favorite characters, they were taking on Thanos and … well … losing.

Thanos managed to gain control of the Infinity Gauntlet and, with the snap of his fingers, wipe out half of our favorite characters. Bucky, Sam, Wanda, T’Challa, they’re all dust in the wind and now, seemingly years later, we’re seeing Tony, Steve, Natasha, and the remaining Avengers trying to figure out how to stop Thanos and bring back their friends.

When the first trailer for Endgame dropped, many of us were shocked that we got to see Scott Lang out and about. But then again, Marvel doesn’t seem to care too much about who we know is back for Avengers: Endgame and who isn’t. That being said, the trailers also don’t show us too much of the movie.

According to Marvel, the trailers for Endgame aren’t going to show anything past the first twenty minutes of the movie. And, for a movie that is rumored to be nearly 3 hours long, that’s nothing. So we could be seeing all these wonderful moments from the movie and having hope that our favorite characters are going to be alive and well and then we have to remember that there is still going to be 2 hours and 40 minutes that we don’t know about.

Thankfully, Marvel gave us a second look at what Avengers: Endgame is going to have in store for us.

Steve Rogers at a support group for those lost? Maybe for his best friend, Bucky? Nebula and Tony working together? Rocket Raccoon killing it as he tries to take on Thanos who took all those close to him? Yes, please. Natasha Romanoff is going to use her aggression to rip Thanos to threads while also rocking a French braid.

The entire trailer was … short but gave us a look at exactly what the Avengers would be dealing with now that their friends are gone and, from the looks of it, aren’t coping that well. This is just the first twenty minutes though? So we get to see them sad and angsty for at least twenty minutes?

Avengers: Endgame hits theaters April 26th, 2019 and look, let’s face it, we’re going to cry a whole lot and we’ll probably have to say goodbye to characters we have loved for the last ten years and that’s going to hurt. But it’s Marvel. Do we expect anything less? After all, they killed all our favorites the last time around.
