HOLY CRAP THIS JESSICA JONES TRAILER MAKES S2 LOOK SO GOOD AAAAAAGGGGGHHH!

Black Panther is not the only thing in the Marvel Universe that’s worth flailing like Kermit about. Netflix just released the trailer for Jessica Jones Season Two, and HOLY GUACAMOLE does this look good!

The above trailer seems to indicate that the journey of Season Two will be marked by Jessica going in search of her past. How did she get her powers, and why? What exactly happened to her parents? And just how many others like her are there out in the world? The answers to all of these questions have her doing as much snarking and hard drinking as ever before, but despite the fact that she’s still a reluctant hero, she’s slightly less reluctant, continually coming back, because this superhero vigilante thing is something she’s really, really good at.

And she’s not going to have to do it alone. Trish seems to be stepping up to the plate, offering herself up as a sidekick, which is really all we’ve wanted this whole time. Seems like those martial arts classes have paid off!

We also have a first look at one of my favorite actresses of all time, the incomparable Janet McTeer (seriously, if you didn’t see her Tony Award-winning performance Nora in A Doll’s House back in the late 1990s, I feel sorry for you and your whole sad existence), in a role that is still a mystery, but on the surface seems to be an ally to Jessica. We’ll see how well that turns out.

Lastly, there seems to be a dude after Alias Investigations, who wants to absorb it to eliminate competition. So, he’s another P.I? Perhaps a superpowered P.I. like Jessica? In any case, he “won’t take no for an answer,” to which Jessica flawlessly replies, “How rapey of you.”

I have yet to watch Iron Fist or The Defenders, because to be quite honest, as much as I love Marvel, I just couldn’t bring myself to care. But this show? I care about. I care about it a lot. And from the looks of it, this new season is going to deliver, and deliver hard.

What do you think of the new trailer? Sound off below!
