New Stranger Things Clip Answers Season 1’s Most Pressing Question

Recommended Videos

Turn back now if you want to go into season 2 of Stranger Things with a clean slate!

Season one of the nostalgic sci-fi show left us with lots of questions about the government and the Upside Down, but one of the biggest was what happened to our hero and savior Eleven. Is she gone forever? Will she still be herself when she returns? It’s been confirmed for a while that she would be returning to Hawkins and the gang, but the circumstances of her disappearance and return have been kept mostly under wraps.

In a new clip shared at MCM Comic Con London, Millie Bobby Brown introduced a clip from the new season showing Eleven in the Upside Down (maybe not soon after she disappeared, judging by the hair). But she’s not stuck there like the unfortunate souls of season 1 that needed some help to get back. Rather, she’s able to use her powers in order to break down the barrier and emerges from a wall in Hawkins High School, right where the mascot’s paw is painted.

Of course, in true Stranger Things fashion, this leaves us with more questions than answers. How long was Eleven in the Upside Down? Were there special circumstances that allowed her to cross over and come back? Will her powers be enough to battle the new threat coming?

Stranger Things returns October 27th, are you excited for Eleven’s return?
