Things We Saw Today: New Thor: Ragnarok Character Posters Deliver All of the Details

Recommended Videos

Marvel’s newly released Thor: Ragnarok posters pop with vivid colors and are making me really freakin’ excited for this movie.

In a striking contrast to the darker palette many Marvel ads have taken in the past, these Ragnarok images are hella (sorry) bright and dynamic. As I scroll through them, my anticipation is growing: while Thor has never been my favorite Marvel property, I realized seeing these that I adore every single returning character featured in Ragnarok (especially you, Heimdall). And I could not be more thrilled about the addition of two powerful women in the form of Tessa Thompson’s heroic Valkyrie and Cate Blanchett’s Hela, who is poised to be the first female major MCU villain. PLUS, JEFF GOLDBLUM IN PERFECT FROSTY BLUE NAIL POLISH, FRIENDS. I love how these close-ups lets us see the small details often missed in action-packed trailers. Let’s take a look:

So who’re you worshipping here?

  • Former Mexican President Vincente Fox, who never pulls punches with Donald Trump, responds to the DACA action: “Trump, you have failed America.” (via CBS)
  • Disney’s CEO confirmed that after the company launches its own streaming service in 2019, its stable of Marvel and Star Wars movies will be available exclusively there. (via CBR)
  • It turns out that the story of the writer behind the infamous fanfiction story My Immortal is fascinating and moving. We can’t wait to read Rose Christo’s book, preps. (via Buzzfeed)
