Please tell me you all saw this happen too. In response to allegations towards Donald Trump Jr.’s collusion, Kellyanne Conway went “full on Sesame Street” on Sean Hannity by bringing out flashcards as a visual aid.
One says “Conclusion? Collusion” and the other “Illusion Delusion.” “What’s the conclusion? Collusion? No. We don’t have that yet,’” says Conway, crossing out “collusion” with a red pen. “I see illusion and delusion. So just so we’re clear, everyone. Four words. Conclusion? Collusion, no. Illusion, delusion, yes. I just thought we’d have some fun with words.”
Words, words, words. What are words? Why did Conway bring out the world’s saddest concrete poem like a discount Pedro Xisto? Were we supposed to be convinced and persuaded simply because she printed out four words on pieces of paper? I don’t understand. The thought process behind this is incredibly confusing, and while I understand Conway’s job has always been to defend Trump and the White House regardless of fact or credibility, the fact that this was a statement from a Counselor to the President should feel like the Twilight Zone.
If you unscramble the words you can get “Unconscious Icon Loll” and “Insidious Ole Null” or “Councils Uncool Lions” and “Lied Illusion On Us.” Hey, you’re watching my mind actually deteriorate in real time as I try and fathom the decision-making process at the White House and everyone around Trump. Enjoy.
The video, thought utterly baffling, was also a huge meme bait. Whether this was on purpose, or just cluelessness on Conway’s part, it’s still something to enjoy because if we don’t laugh, we will cry.
