Vincent D’Onofrio Says Kingpin Isn’t Quite Done with Marvel

Daredevil’s Wilson Fisk isn’t done with Marvel just yet, but it’s unclear when he would return. When we last saw him, he was giving Jon Bernthal’s Punisher a serious beatdown and plotting his revenge against Matt Murdock. According to Vincent D’Onofrio, they haven’t set up a timetable despite a massive opportunity with Netflix’s The Defenders right around the corner.

“He will, eventually,” D’Onofrio said, per ComicBook.com. “Honestly, I wish I knew ‘cause I could plan my year better. I know he will come back, I just don’t know when. I can’t wait to find out.” It must be weird to have such a commitment looming over you, but not know when you’re going to be called it. Still, it’s Marvel, so even if you don’t think you have time, you make room for it.

While he’s waiting, perhaps there are opportunities elsewhere in the Marvel universe. If Chris Evans can do it, so can he. “I’m totally into the Marvel stuff, big time. I want to do Marvel, all the time,” he added.  “I love it so much ‘cause they’re so creative over there. They let you bring this whole new thing to an iconic thing that they invented. It’s just so much fun. I love it to death. I want to see Captain Marvel and Wonder Woman. There’s something about those movies. I dig the shit out of them. I’ve been tweeting back and forth with James Gunn, about doing something with him because I love Guardians of the Galaxy so much.”

Daredevil doesn’t return until 2018, but The Defenders is slated to hit Netflix this year.
