Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn solo movie is still chugging along in development, with Robbie herself still in the producer role. The project has just added another key role: according to The Wrap, Christina Hodson has signed on to write the screenplay for the movie.

Hodson isn’t well-known, yet–but she sounds like an underground talent of sorts. Several of her screenplays have appeared on Hollywood’s Black List, an annual survey of the greatest screenplays that haven’t yet been produced.

At least a few of her screenplays are about to get produced after all, in the next year or so, such as: Shut In, a horror/thriller starring Naomi Watts, and Unforgettable, another female-centric thriller to star Rosario Dawson and Katherine Heigl. She’s also doing some genre fiction, too, having recently penned a spin-off movie about Transformers‘ Bumblebee. Deadline reports that Paramount loved her take and plans to find directors for the project soon.

It’ll be cool to see those movies when they come out and find out what Hodson’s writing is like. Regardless, it’s definitely a positive to hear that this movie is still happening, and that it’s got women both behind the camera and in front of it.
