If, like me, you were absolutely riding high after watching the Supergirl/Flash crossover (wherein Barry Allen ran so fast he accidentally ran into another universe and then proceeded to be adorable alongside precious super cinnamon roll Kara Danvers), then this piece of spoilery news coming out of the DC TV camp will delight you.
In a spoiler Q&A for Entertainment Weekly, The Flash‘s executive producer Andrew Kreisberg said that we could certainly have the opportunity for Supergirl to show up in Central City–and maybe, just maybe, there’s already an Earth-1 version inhabiting the same space as Barry and the rest of the crew at STAR Labs:
“Any Kara that exists on Earth 1 would also have to have been an alien,” says EP Andrew Kreisberg. “It can’t just be Kara Danvers from Poughkeepsie.” Does that mean she could be a potential super (or maybe a power) girl on his Earth, too? “Sure, different costume, but sure,” Kreisberg adds.
Hmmmm. “Power girl”? Could that possibly be a covert reference to Power Girl, a version of Kara Zor-El who hailed from Earth-2? We’ve seen a ton of Earth-2 counterparts on The Flash already, so Barry encountering the Power Girl version of Kara on Earth-2 (or an Earth-1 Power Girl) would definitely be a clever means of giving us a very different SuperFlash crossover than the one we had last month.
Frankly, I wouldn’t be surprised if we found ourselves getting another SuperFlash crossover as early as next season for either show. The original crossover gave Supergirl a huge boost in the ratings and likely made many new Flash fans in the process.
