Silicon Valley Cast Guesses What Real Startups Do For WIRED

"That's like a fiber cereal"

The Silicon Valley Pied Piper team, Thomas Middleditch, T.J. Miller, Kumail Nanjiani, Martin Starr, and Zach Woods made an appearance on the cover of WIRED, and to test their knowledge of real-life Silicon Valley, the WIRED team decided to ask them what they thought some real start-ups (all valued at more than a billion dollars) do. The team had some fun with companies like Mozido, Twilio (“Twitter’s fart”) and Nutanix (“That’s like a fiber cereal”). Nanjiani’s take on Automattic is absolutely life imitating art.
A lot of the promotions for Silicon Valley lovingly make fun of start-up culture, like when they played “App or Appetizer” with TakePart Live a while back (which is a LOT harder than you’d expect). The cast has a lot of actors who are great at improv (Zach Woods improv-ing a lot of the ridiculous pitches in the “Pivot” scene is one of my favorite parts of the entire series), and it really shines in these jokes. Are you excited for the new season of Silicon Valley?
