Trump’s Favorite ‘pathetic Train Wreck’ Talk Show Host is Having the Time of His Life While He Shares AI Videos to Boost His Ego
Unemployed and unbothered

Since becoming president of the United States for a second term last year, Donald Trump has faced intense criticism. One of his harshest critics has been Stephen Colbert, who recently wrapped up his long run on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. For those unaware, it is a late-night talk show where Colbert interviews mostly artists and influential figures from various fields.
For a long time, Trump called for The Late Show with Stephen Colbert to be canceled while it was still airing and passing snide remarks about him, including calling him a “pathetic train wreck.” So when Colbert’s show actually ended on May 21, 2026, Trump thought it fitting to share an AI-generated video of himself throwing Colbert into a dustbin. However, Colbert seems unfazed by all of this, as videos that have surfaced online, including on X (formerly Twitter), show him having the time of his life, dancing happily in what appears to be a club around the same time as the video was uploaded.
Stephen Colbert gives his all on the dance floor
Stephen Colbert is not shedding tears over the end of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, as Donald Trump might expect. Instead, he’s dancing his heart out in celebration of his talk show ending. Just a few days ago, a video of Colbert surfaced on X showing him dancing carefree during the “Fired & Festive” party.
In the widely shared video, he’s dancing with his wife and moving around the room, looking happier than he has in months, aside from when he’s dissing Trump. While the dance video itself brings happiness, many have noticed how unbothered he seems despite facing repeated pushback from Trump and CBS, who are believed to have canceled Colbert’s show for its anti-Trump stance. Even the AI video Trump posted of Colbert doesn’t seem to have affected him.
What did Trump post about Colbert?
Donald Trump has never missed an opportunity to criticize Stephen Colbert, who, during Trump’s second term as President, has become one of his sharpest critics. So, when Colbert officially ended his long run as the host of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert last Thursday, Trump took to X (a platform he rarely uses) and shared a video of himself approaching Stephen Colbert from behind as he announced the final broadcast of his show, then lifting him up and tossing him into a trash bin. This is followed by Trump doing the YMCA dance as a sign of victory.
And, how did the public react to this? Everyone called Trump out for his antics in the comments on his post. Many users even created their own AI videos, showing Trump being dumped into a dustbin by various people, including Colbert.
