We love Sammus around here. That’s for real. As I said a long, long time ago (in an old TWS, even): “I couldn’t help geeking out at a few of her lyrics, rife with video game and rap references.” She takes a step back from the video game references and NES beats here, baring her soul and rapping about, as the video description says, “the highs and lows that have shaped her life since dropping her last album in 2014.” It continues, “Ultimately this revealing song is an important testament to the power of seeking help and prioritizing one’s mental health above all. The message is clear: if you need help, do not suffer in silence.” (via Twitter DM/@thedoubleclicks)
