Stephen Amell Shares First Look at Vixen’s Live-Action Appearance on Arrow

Recommended Videos

We were thrilled when we heard that Megalyn Echikunwoke, the voice of Vixen on the CW Seed, would be bringing the character to life on Arrow. So, we’re equally thrilled to see this first glimpse of Echikunwoke on the Arrow set that Stephen Amell shared via Twitter.

Based on the teensy glimpse of her costume that we can see, they seem to be going for Vixen’s signature color scheme. I am also loving this lipstick look! However, we do see that Echikunwoke seems to be holding on to her gorgeous locks, forgoing the spiky style of the animated Vixen, or the one from the comics.

More important than her look is her performance, of course! If Echikunwoke can bring the same level of talent to her physicality as she does to her voice performance, there’s no doubt that Vixen will be an exciting addition to the DC TV universe. Given that CW President Mark Pedowitz has alluded to the possibility of Vixen having a long-term live-action future either on her own show, or on Legends of Tomorrow, we have loads to be excited about!

Echikunwoke makes her live-action debut as Vixen on Arrow in Episode Fifteen of this season. Meanwhile, Season Two of the animated Vixen on CW Seed will drop later this year.
