Yes, CBS has decided to go full series for Supergirl. We had no doubt. Lead Melissa Benoist tweeted, “I’m so happy I could fly!” And here’s a reminder of who else will be joining her this fall via Variety:

The ensemble cast is rounded out by regulars Calista Flockhart, who will play Kara’s tough boss at CatCo, Cat Grant; Mehcad Brooks, who will co-star as Kara’s love interest, Jimmy Olsen; Chyler Leigh, as Kara’s doctor sister, Alex Danvers; and David Harewood, as supervillain Hank Henshaw, known as Cyborg Superman in the DC world. Laura Benanti will play Kara’s birth mother, Alura Zor-El, in a major recurring arc.

Meanwhile The CW, home to comic adaptations Arrow and The Flash, has decided to renew the super-fun iZombie for a second season. If you haven’t been reading our recaps, you may do that now. BBC America has also announced Orphan Black (more recaps!) will be getting a Season 4 (10 more episodes)!

Thoughts? I’m excited for all three, already being a fan of Orphan Black and iZombie, and being really optimistic about Supergirl.
