Yesss: This Kickstarter is aiming to create an inclusive “feminist, LGBTQA positive, fresh take” on Sherlock Holmes that is “for women, by women.” Â
As they say in the video, “true mythology adapts and evolves.” This time around that includes Watson as a trans woman. I am so in. Also: They “intend to cast a male drag performer as Mr. Hudson,” and they’ve already cast a woman as Sherlock. Mycroft is now Myra Croft-Holmes, all the better to explore female relationships “both by blood (two sisters) and by water (two friends).” You can read more over at the official Kickstarter page.
