Go on Epic Quests and Gather Delicious Candies in ASCII Art Browser Game Candy Box

Recommended Videos

Have you ever had the desire to gather and then eat delicious candies? If not, maybe you’ve wanted to throw some candies on the ground? Not real candies, mind you, but virtual ones. No? Huh. Well, Candy Box, a browser game made entirely out of ASCII art, will make you want to do these things and more. You don’t even really have to pay attention to it.

See, Candy Box will keep going automatically in a separate tab. That’s what makes it so brilliant. It’s one of those games that is as long or as short as you want it to be. It seems incredibly bare bones at first, with just the ability to eat candies and toss them on the ground, but things open up rather quickly. Promise.

If you’ve been seeing various folks discussing candies and their ability to eat them on social media the past few days, this is what they’ve been talking about. It’s not an overly complicated game or anything, and everything really is ASCII art, but the barrier for entry and ease of play make it something most everyone can get behind. The creator, Aniway, created the whole thing in about two months.

If you’re having the trouble getting started, just let the game sit open in a browser tab for a bit. Also, make sure to save and then bookmark the saved token. Nobody wants candies to go to waste.
