And All Was Right With the World

This Epidemic of Adorable Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen Pictures Has to Stop

Seriously, Sir Patrick Stewart. Stop Tweeting these. It makes me question the very fabric of reality that people so wonderful as you and Sir Ian McKellen can exist.

P.S.—No, don’t stop. Never stop. You wonderful dorks.

Homies Forever is the pinnacle of Ian/Patrick pics, they should of just stopped there.

  • Theresa

Love these two, makes me smile.

  • Jesse

god dammit i have GOT TO RUN INTO THEM i would die. Patrick Stewart is pretty much one of the only celebrities I’d ever want to meet. And McKellan is awesome too but guhhhhh. I gotta walk around the bridge more I guess

Given the headgear, I suspect they got them while doing “Waiting for Godot” somewhere and LOVED the hats.

  • Jamie Jeans

    That is so damned adorkable!

Always remember, people, that a COMIC BOOK MOVIE made this awesome friendship happen. (Never forget)

  • AverageDrafter

I thought this as well until the interwebs showed me otherwise.

Hamlet (User, not the play) –
They’ve been friends for waaaay longer. They studied Shakespearian acting with John Barton a very long time ago.

They’re actually prepping for Godot on Broadway now; previews start October 26.

  • Todd Carney

With the hats, I’m thinking Didi and Gogo!

I’m still trying to figure out the meaning of the hats… “Two English man in New York”? Or are these hats from “The Adjustment Bureau”? ;-)

  • Lady Commentariat

I love how they seem to wear their bowlers for all these pics. Beckett is freaking awesome and it makes the lit geek in me smile every time I see them.

  • Lady Commentariat

That’s worth making a trip to NYC for…if I had the money, that is. :le sigh:

  • Sara Crow

It’s from the Samuel Beckett play they’re doing together, “Waiting for Godot.” FANTASTIC two-man play that I’m sure they are pulling off splendidly. I wish I could go see it.

  • Anonymous

well yes. The hashtag “#gogodididonyc” would seem to indicate that.

  • Todd Carney

Haha! I totally didn’t see that! But then I am usually blind to hashtags. I haven’t seen their other bowler-wearing pics either. That’s awesome!
