Reebok and Marvel are Making Sneaks for Geeks (And They Haven’t Forgotten the Ladies)

Converse’s arrangement with DC and the unisex styling of their shoes has been a boon to geeky chicks looking for kicks everywhere. But if you’re more of a Marvel girl, pickings have been slim. And while I wouldn’t call two characters a feast, it’s two more than there used to be, so it’s pretty cool that when putting together its new line of Marvel superhero inspired sneakers, Reebok didn’t forget the ladies.

Above is the design for Black Widow. All the sneakers feature color and materials appropriate to the hero the represent, logo hangtags, tongue details, heel details, and an insole featuring art of the character. Here’s the Emma Frost model:

Unfortunately, there doesn’t appear to be any pictures around of the insoles of the Widow and Frost shoes, but if the guys’ shoes are any indication…

You’ll be stepping on something pretty awesome.

    The coloring looks more approrpiate for those to be the 90′s Storm model than the Emma Frost model, but whatevs. I’m psyched Emma’s getting merched. :D

    So, wait, I’m confused.   Are all the shoes unisex, or do the women’s shoes only come in female  heroes?

    I kinda thought the black/red/gold ones were Iron Man… I want Captain America shoes, but I’ve always thought Reeboks were kinda ugly. I bet my hubby would like Deadpool shoes but I highly doubt they make his size. I will check it out anyway… nice that they are making these for adults! Not kids.
