The crowning glory of Silicon Valley‘s season finale was the scene in which the show’s many, many, many men calculated how long it would take to pleasure 800 penises to completion. Now a bunch of Stanford researchers with brain cells to throw around have written a 12 page paper to determine if the “Mean Jerk Time” holds up. Use this information wisely.
You can watch the scene and listen to the Pied Piper team devise their theory here. In defense of the joke’s crassness, I will say that I think “Mean Jerk” could be an example of the show parodying itself — what better way to admit this season was a shameless dude-fest than by devoting several minutes to dicks?
Here’s the follow-up study, conducted by some of Stanford’s brightest minds.
Now how about a formula that calculates how long viewers will have to wait before a more interesting female character (or, hell, characters) can make an appearance on the show?
