I might be able to top the Benedict Cumberbatch–Frankenstein thing I just posted, because there is another wonderful thing coming to America in the month of June. Remember the Girl Scout cookie-flavored Nestlé Crunch Bars we told you about a while ago? They are happening. They are real. They are coming to stores in June for a limited time. I’ll provide you information on the featured flavors after the jump, and you will be very pleased.
I won’t leave you in suspense, because you’ve probably also examined the photo above and noticed that the cookies that provided the inspiration were the famous Thin Mints, Tagalongs, and Samoas (now known as Caramel Delights, but some of us will never call them that, especially if we sold Samoas). Here are the sweet, sweet details:
Thin Mints™ – Dark chocolate cookie wafers and mint chocolate crème, topped with airy crispies and a rich, dark chocolatey coating
Caramel & Coconut – Cookie wafers layered with coconut caramel crème and chewy caramel, topped with toasted coconut and drizzled with caramel stripes
Peanut Butter Crème – Cookie wafers layered with smooth peanut butter crème, topped with airy crispies and a creamy, chocolatey coating
Jezebel put it best: “Lord help us.” In addition to individual full-sized bars, there will also be boxes — boxes! — of smaller, “fun-sized” bars. Remember: smaller candy is less bad for you than full-sized candy, so please feel free to eat more of it in one sitting. Right? That’s how that works, right? Also, don’t feel like you have to share. Because I won’t. (Just kidding. I’d totally share, but I’m buying nothing but full-sized bars so I won’t feel compelled to share. Don’t worry, I know I’m a horrible person.)
No word yet on exactly when in June these will all be hitting stores, but there is a pre-sale event taking place on the Nestlé Crunch page at 3:00 (EST) this afternoon where people will inevitably crash Facebook in their attempt to buy mass quantities of this amazing dream come true.
