Denny’s Hobbit Menu Is Back to Bring Desolation to Your Stomach

Not pictured: Sweet Potato Pecan Pancakes, because honey cake French Toast wasn’t bad enough already.

Don’t ask me what I mean by “bad” in this instance. I might mean “good.” I haven’t decided yet.

Honey cake french toast = bad. Very bad.

Honestly, I went for dinner with my Dad and got this. Both of us took a bite and immeadiately pushed the plate away. :(

The Smaug burger sounds good… if it were from anywhere other than Denny’s.

I meet with my writers group every Tuesday at a local Dennys. Highly recommend the Bowman’s Brew Pumpkin Coffee.

Hobbit Hole breakfast! My favorite way to have eggs is eggs in a hole, and now they do it in a cheddar cheese bun!

Did it just taste bad? Was it to sweet? Do you not like honey?

You know, for the longest time I was ok with the shameless cross-promotion going on with the LotR film franchise: Tolkien can survive pez dispensers and official One Ring wedding bands. But making a meal-deal out of Smaug’s riches, which was explicitly all about the corruptive power of greed and avarice… This somehow seems *more wrong* than usual.

THE HOBBIT HOLE BREAKFAST. Good God, it was so good!

Ah, yes, I remember when Bard quenched his thirst with a delicious pumpkin pie milkshake. It’s a scene that makes an impression on a kid.

I like honey AND cake, but it tasted like very crumbly cornbread covered in corn syrup. ): Very artificial too.

Living, as I do, in a country of No Dennys, I am now determined to make the cheesy eggy-in-a-basket thing for brunch. Because it looks like, if not the actual best thing ever, certainly a member of the top 3.

OUCH. Just looking at this gives me a stomachache.

And to think, some devoted fan is going to attempt second breakfast here…

I’ve never seen eggs-in-a-hole! Is this an American thing?
I have to admit that though I’m vegetarian, seeing this poster makes me think we’re possibly missing out by not having ‘Denny’s’ over in the UK?

You might know them as eggs-in-a-basket.

    Elevenses.

I’d not heard of them by that name either but damn they look good! :3

    NOOOOOOOOOO

Still seems less squirky than the hunger games tie-ins to me…
