Every Actor Wants To Play Young Han Solo — Including Rami Malek, Tom Felton, & More

Recommended Videos

Everybody wanted to be Han Solo when they grew up, right? If you’re a pale, brown-haired, 20-something guy in Hollywood, it might even be achievable — in a more literal sense than ever before. Disney and Lucasfilm still need to cast a young Han Solo in a spin-off film they’re making about the anti-hero’s early years. The actor would play Han in his early 20s, so the casting call has brought back a lot of young dudes and also slightly-less-young dudes who can pass for “early 20s” with a little movie magic.

The fan favorite seems to be Rami Malek of Mr. Robot fame — who also appears to be the only non-white guy on the long list of known auditions. Other notables include Teen Wolf’s Colton Haynes, Jurassic World’s Nick Robinson, and Harry Potter’s Tom Felton. There’s tons more in contention besides those actors, though, according to Hollywood Reporter — name a guy in his 20s who looks even slightly like Harrison Ford, and he’s probably in the running. Or he’s busy working on his audition tape right now.

Who would you like to see take on that Han Solo swagger? Is Rami Malek your fav? Or do you have somebody else in mind?
