Wreck-It Ralph Will Wreck the Internet in Sequel

Disney confirmed that Wreck-It Ralph would be getting a sequel on Facebook Live not too long ago, and gave us a few hints on what Ralph and Vanellope will be wrecking next. While this announcement isn’t huge news as John C. Reilly mentioned a sequel quite a while back, we got balloons, cheers, and a release date.

Rich Moore, who directed the first movie and, more recently, Zootopia, brought on Phil Johnston (who co-wrote both movies) for the Live and introduced him as co-director for the film. Reilly also makes an appearance, armed with Wreck-It Ralph fists to drop cereal and wreck it.

The team revealed that the sequel would leave behind the arcade that got people super nostalgic in the first movie. “The world of the internet is the perfect place to send Ralph and Vanellope,” says Johnston. “The scope and scale are so vast and the possibilities for comedy are endless.” From the promotional image we got, we see some parodies of real websites like “Jiffy,” “Pictopedia,” and “LubHub.” Looks like Ralph is going to be making a lot of stops!

What do you think about Ralph and Vanellope heading to the internet? I think it’d be wicked cool if he could wreck some internet trolls.
