The Kickstarter comic sensation of 2011 is almost here! We’re talking of course about Womanthology, the women-created comic book anthology from IDW Publishing featuring an all-star lineup of writers and artists plus a slew of new talent. Hit the jump to see what a physical copy of the book looks like!

Womanthology: Heroic organizer and project manager, Renae De Liz, took some pictures to show off an actual copy of the book. There have been some slight delays in its release so Renae organized both a holiday special and Valentine’s special for all the supporters.

I think Renae got a little caught up in the subject matter of the book…

She even put together a nifty video of her experience checking out the book. Full disclosure: I have a story in the anthology with artist Hanie Mohd! You can see a quick sneak peek of our work at 4:09. Take a look:

If you weren’t a Kickstarter backer that is owed a book, don’t forget, Womanthology is available for pre-order now but copies are limited. Ask your local comic shop to reserve you a copy, it should be out the beginning of March! And look for updates on the Womanthology website, tumblr and twitter pages.
