Woman on Chicago Flight Buys Drink for a Man After Talking for Hours, Then He Tells Her That He Has a Girlfriend: ‘Isn’t That Messed Up?’

After hours of conversation on a flight, a man dashes a woman's romantic fantasy by casually mentioning he's got a girlfriend.

Taylor Nicole (@ladyaguilera2.0) experienced something unusual on a flight from San Francisco to Chicago. She says she saw a woman and a man who didn’t know each other talking for about a “good two hours”, until things went south in insanely dramatic fashion.

In her video, Nicole explained that the woman bought herself and the man a drink, then was about to order a second round, but he declined. Later, the man apparently revealed he had a girlfriend…

Nicole explained she could hear the woman confront the man about not telling her about his girlfriend earlier. The man supposedly responded that it was “weird” for him to “just be upfront” and say he had a girlfriend. Nicole stated that the woman then said she thought they were “falling in love” and that this was “the start of our love story,” which made another woman sitting across the aisle from her giggle.

“Huge red flag”

Nicole said that the woman then addressed the girl, who was laughing about what was happening. She seemed to empathize with the woman’s feelings and apparently asked the man why he had waited so long to tell her he had a girlfriend.

Nicole said the woman remarked that the man didn’t have his girlfriend’s photo as his wallpaper, which she considered a huge “red flag.” Additionally, Nicole revealed that when the woman learned he had been with his girlfriend of 2 years and was living with her, she gasped.

Then, surprisingly enough, the woman reportedly said she was a “phenomenal actress” and suggested that all three perform a skit. In it, the man and the other girl were a married couple, and she was breaking up with him. “She then, the girl, starts doing the bit on the plane as we are descending and says, ‘How dare you cheat on me? That was my grandmother’s ring. I am leaving you.’”

Nicole mentioned that everyone who witnessed the incident, except the woman, felt “uncomfortable” about what was happening. “There were not snakes on this plane. But there was silence,” Nicole said, describing the atmosphere during the event. Nicole also revealed that the woman asked the man if his girlfriend was coming to pick him up and suggested that she meet her. When the girl said it wasn’t a good idea, she said she was joking.

People in the comments section of Nicole’s video were divided in their opinions. While some people thought the man’s actions in this situation were right, others thought he was wrong.

One user wrote, “Why does having a conversation with someone mean you must tell them you have a gf first?” Another commented, “In a 2 hour conversation, your long term relationship should naturally come up.” Yet another user said, “Sounds like he told her the moment he realized she was interested in him, and not just making conversation. We slow like that.”

While the situation may be a bit different, a couple showed up to board their plane for their honeymoon and found that the airline had given away their paid-for seat. Along the same lines, a pregnant Maryland woman was removed from her flight after the airline sold her seat to someone who paid more.
