Woman ‘Scouted’ to Go Up on Stage at the Bad Bunny Concert in Milan. Instead, She Almost Got Trafficked While Surviving a Hailstorm.
Moon Azad says a man claiming to represent Bad Bunny’s team approached her at La Casita before the situation took a frightening turn.
Some fans dream of sharing the stage with their favorite artists. Moon Azad (@moon.azad) thought she was invited to La Casita at a Bad Bunny concert in Milan. Instead, her concert experience almost took a turn for the worst.
Azad told TikTok that she went on a solo trip to Europe to see Bad Bunny in Milan, Italy. She said that it was a big event with no assigned seatings, but she went alone. Upon scanning the venue, she realized that most people were in groups of two or three.
“I just wanted to actually have space to myself and not dance like sardines in the front. So, I decided to go a bit more in the back,” Azad stated. There, she met two girls who were sitting on their blanket, whom she befriended.
She was getting a feel of the place, and other fans were complimenting her outfit. They were saying that she would probably be chosen to go up at Bad Bunny’s La Casita.
Getting ‘Invited’ at La Casita With Bad Bunny
The Casita is one of two stages that Bad Bunny performs at during his concerts. In the second half of the show, the artist transitions from the main stage to La Casita. Those who were invited to La Casita are often athletes, celebrities, and influencers.
But even fans can be scouted and brought to La Casita by Bad Bunny’s team. Azad was with the two other girls when a man came up to them.
He was speaking in Italian, and the two friends Azad made helped translate what he was saying. They said that the man wanted Azad to go to La Casita with him. Seeing that it’s a big opportunity, Azad asked if her new friends can go with them, but the man allegedly said no.
“It’s not so crazy or abnormal for him to say no. There’s a limited number of people who get into the casita,” Azad said. She recalled stories of other people who had been invited individually, even though they came with a group. At this point, Azad wasn’t suspicious of the man’s words.
Nevertheless, Azad asked for the man’s ID just to confirm that he was part of the staff. But she alleged that he kept changing the subject, refusing to show the ID. Regardless, Azad still wanted to go with him, thinking that she might miss out on a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
When the concert started, the man told Azad to go with him. She said that he began pressuring her by creating that sense of urgency, by framing it as though they were already running late.
Something Wasn’t Adding Up
As they were walking through the crowds, Azad alleged that the man started asking her if she was alone or if she knew anyone in the city.
“I didn’t feel like a scout would be asking me those questions,” Azad said. Then, the man allegedly told her to give her bag and phone to him. She refused his request, but the man allegedly tried taking her items away by force. At this point, Azad was alarmed.
Azad asked if the man could speak Spanish, assuming he should be able to if he were part of the Puerto Rican singer’s staff. But when he spoke, Azad noticed that he isn’t speaking Puerto Rican Spanish, which raised yet another red flag for her.
She also noticed that they were heading away from the casita, which made the situation even stranger. When she asked him why they were going the other way, the man’s response made her flee.
“We’re getting into a van,” the man supposedly told her at the time. Azad came to her senses and refused, running away.
Azad reunited with the girls she befriended. They were set to spend the rest of the concert together. But by the sixth song, something unexpected happened yet again.
A hailstorm hit the city, and the show was cancelled. It was one bad thing after another, but at least the man wasn’t able to take her to an unsafe second location.
