Woman Gets Confronted by Woman in Paris and Said Something About Her Outfit. She’s Left Speechless: ‘I Feel Good and I Look Good’

Paris is known as one of the world’s fashion capitals, and many people associate the city with style. Because of that reputation, some visitors feel there are higher expectations about what people should wear while exploring the city.
At the same time, many people believe those expectations should not be used to shame someone over their appearance. What a person chooses to wear is a personal decision, no matter where they are traveling.
One woman, TikTok creator @cacaobeann, shared an experience from her visit to the fashion capital. She said the encounter left her bewildered and understandably frustrated.
The outfit comment didn’t sit well with her
TikTok creator who has about 226,400 followers shared a video describing what she said happened while she was visiting Paris during hot weather. In the video, the creator said she was approached by an unidentified woman who criticized what she was wearing.
“I literally got told off by some random French woman to have more respect for myself because of the way I dress.” She then referred to the weather while showing her outfit. “This is what I’m wearing in 32 degrees heat, by the way.”
The creator acknowledged that some people might view the outfit as revealing but defended her choice. “Yes, it might be a bit revealing, but I feel good, and I look good as well.” She added, “Why can’t I carry it with confidence?”
She ended the video by saying, “I wish I filmed her because that was insane.” The creator did not identify the woman she said confronted her, and no video of the alleged exchange was included in the post. The claims are based on the creator’s account shared on TikTok.
The video quickly drew hundreds of comments, many of which focused on whether the outfit matched what some viewers considered appropriate for Paris. The reaction also echoed an earlier incident in which a Louvre guard kicked out a blogger over a ‘revealing outfit.’ Several commenters argued that visitors should consider local expectations when choosing what to wear.
“Oh baby ur not in florida ur in Paris,” while another said, “In Paris, this is not considered cute btw.” Others emphasized the location, commenting, “It’s FRANCE, not US.” Another wrote, “You are in Europe in Paris, the capital of fashion, style and class.” Another commenter added, “You are not dressing appropriately for Paris.”
Other users suggested the clothing would have been more suitable in different cities. One commenter wrote, “The top is more for Lisbon or Barcelona. Not Paris. However, the lady’s comment was unnecessary.” Some responses focused on individual pieces of clothing rather than the overall outfit. One wrote, “It’s a bra, not a t-shirt.” Another added, “Flip flops in Paris is insane.”
Not all viewers agreed with those criticisms. Some defended the creator’s choice while maintaining that strangers should not confront someone over their appearance, echoing the Staples woman swings purse incident. One commenter wrote, “You look cute, why are people acting like Paris is some special place?” Another added, “Is it revealing? Yes. Is it anyone’s business? No.”
