Woman Defends a Mentally Challenged Kid From Bullies, Then Walmart Fires Her: ‘You All Suck’

She was with the company for 15 years.

Woman got fired by Walmart

Losing a job without warning can be emotionally and mentally taxing, like when a woman was terminated over unexpected complaints about her alleged behavior. Such an incident happened to a Walmart employee, who claimed she was sacked from her job after defending a mentally challenged kid from being bullied.

On TikTok, Bambi (@thatb****bambi) shared a video, which has since drawn over 476,500 views, of herself walking through Walmart just moments after allegedly being let go from the store. “I just got fired, so I’m making my exit,” Bambi said before setting down her phone to continue recording.

Rather than silently taking her leave, Bambi seemingly decided to exit with a bang by announcing to all the customers shopping at the store the reason for her sudden termination. She grabbed the PA system and broadcast, “Attention, everyone. My name is Bambi. I just got fired because I stood up for a kid who was being bullied.”

Walmart gets called out for its lackluster management

Bambi also used the PA system to deliver a scathing remark to Walmart’s management team. “This is the worst management team that this store has ever had in the 15 years that I’ve worked here,” Bambi said. The content creator gave a final blow, saying, “You all suck! Everyone, have a great day.” Once she was off the PA system, she turned to the camera and told viewers, “F–k this place.”

In the video, Bambi didn’t explain how the situation with the kid she mentioned came to be or what led to her ultimately getting fired. The company has also not shared its version of the incident that resulted in the termination or given a statement to confirm or deny the event.

Bambi claimed in a response in her comment section that “there was a mentally challenged kid who was being bullied” and she had stood up for him. “It backfired on me because I was the one that got fired,” Bambi said in her comment.

Bambi had loved her job

According to Bambi, she had been working at the company for 15 years and had “loved my job.” But by her 13th year with the company, she claimed that the store welcomed a new management team, who she described as “useless” and “lazy”, that made the work environment feel “miserable.”

This isn’t the first time an employee was suddenly fired and workplace culture became a topic of discussion. A junior lawyer had also found herself without a job after her law firm allegedly terminated her employment following a viral video talking about the realities of young lawyers in Australia.

Viewers poured in their support for Bambi, with some even sharing their own experiences of working at the mega-chain. “15 years, that’s crazy…… [they] value no one at all,” one comment read. “I worked at Walmart for 12 years and was told by store manager everyone is replaceable,” a second comment read. Another said, “I work for Walmart, and I agree with you. The problem isn’t always the employees, it’s management. Too many store managers and people leads blame associates instead of taking responsibility.”

Some viewers were a bit more skeptical of Bambi’s version of the incident, and claimed that something else must’ve happened for a 15-year employee to get fired. “What was the real reason? They just don’t fire a 15-year associate unless something is major wrong,” a comment read. According to Bambi, she plans to release a story time about the incident on her TikTok.
