Rosario Dawson as Ahsoka Tano on Disney+'s The Mandalorian.

Will Ezra Bridger be in the ‘Ahsoka’ Series on Disney Plus?

It’s been over a whole pandemic year (which is equal to at least fifteen regular years, I think) since Disney Plus gave a real update about Ahsoka Tano’s own television miniseries, and many rumors have bubbled to the surface after her appearance in both The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett while fans eagerly await the show’s release.

Ahsoka: What we know so far

Disney Plus and Lucasfilms are keeping the show tightly underwraps, but Ahsoka herself gave some clues about what might come when she appeared in “The Jedi” episode of The Mandalorian. She revealed that she’s been searching for Grand Admiral Thrawn. Fans of Star Wars: Rebels know that Thrawn disappeared into the Unknown Regions with young Ezra Bridger in the finale of the series. And the epilogue shows Sabine Wren and Ahsoka taking off together to track down Thrawn and their missing friend. So it is very likely that Ahsoka’s own series, at least in part, will pick up where Rebels left off.

It has been confirmed that Hayden Christensen will return as Darth Vader and the part of Sabine Wren has gone to actress Natasha Liu Bordizzo, which increases the likelihood of Ahsoka continuing the Rebels storyline in some way. Though it remains unclear if this will be the main plot of the series or an undercurrent. Still, we will have to wait till 2023 most likely, before we have real answers.

Will Ezra Bridger be in Ahsoka?

There were several rumors that Mena Massoud, Aladdin in the live-action Disney remake, had been cast as Ezra Bridger in the series. Rosario Dawson even shared a post on her Instagram stories last year seeming to confirm his casting (though it was from an unconfirmed source). However, Disney has confirmed that actor Eman Esfandi has been cast as Ezra Bridger in Ahsoka! He joins a cast that also includes Ivanna Sakhno, Hera Synduylla, and Birds of Prey star Mary Elizabeth Winstead, all in unknown roles. Ray Stevenson has also joined the cast, as reportedly one of the main villains, but his role is also unknown. Which other Star Wars: Rebels characters might we see reuniting with Ezra and Sabine in Ahsoka? We can’t wait to find out!
