Three white women (Miranda, Carrie, Charlotte) stand in a room of people looking happy and surprised.

Okay, Rambo, Here’s Everything We Know About ‘And Just Like That’ Season 2

Yay, more ... Che?

It’s a bit baffling, wondering who exactly the audience is for And Just Like That. It feels like most people seemed to hate-watch it, but even so, there must have been enough of them because the series was officially renewed for a second season. Oh, hell yeah! You thought they were done? They’re just getting started, Rambo. We’re getting even more overly-aged Steve, bad-Asian-stereotype Lily, and everyone’s favorite comedian/TED-talk host, Che Diaz. Che Diaz will never be canceled. Che Diaz will show up at your door until the End. Of. Time.

…probably. We don’t know that much, yet. We do know that the ratings were apparently some of HBO Max’s best ever, which is impressive, given its current catalog. And we know that there’s still a lot for the series to explore, such as Carrie’s new relationship with her boss, Franklyn, and the beginning of her very own podcast series, sweetly titled “Sex And The City.” And, we know that Chris Noth has little to no chance of coming back (and good riddance), while Kim Cattrall will likely continue to focus her attention on other projects … which is incredibly fair, considering how dirty they did her.

Ultimately, both SJP and showrunner Michael Patrick King were hoping to keep riding on the show’s “momentum,” and it seems like they’re getting that chance. I, for one, felt a spite-watch-sized hole in my heart when the series ended, so I’m admittedly looking forward to having it back in my life eventually. Maybe they’ll learn their lesson and stop making their “wokeness” seem so forced and juvenile. Or maybe the characters of color will finally seem like fully realized people in their own right, without doing anything to benefit the storylines of the main women. Or maybe, just maybe … we’ll settle whether or not that was actually Harry’s penis. Although I suppose some things are best left undiscussed.

After graduating from UC Santa Cruz summa cum laude, her focus shifted to digital writing, where she's happy to say her History degree has certainly come in handy!
