Elizabeth Warren Becomes Everyone’s Mom as She Teaches Samantha Bee How to Persist

Also, she loves the show Ballers?

I would love for Elizabeth Warren to run for President (and if she did, I’d be a very happy camper), but honestly? I think she’s capable of doing a lot more good as a senator. As it is, she’s said repeatedly that she has no intention of running for President (though she is running for Senator of Massachusetts), but that doesn’t mean she can’t continue doing important work to move our country forward … like being a life coach for Samantha Bee.

In this hugely inspirational segment, we watch as Full Frontal‘s Samantha Bee uses what little energy she has left after looking at the state of our country to get to her interview with Elizabeth Warren and asks her what she should tell people who ask her, “What should I do?”

“You get in the fight, and you fight as hard as you can,” Warren begins. She then escorts a skeptical Samantha Bee through all the reasons why she should believe that we can come out from under this administration better than we went in. The best part? The role-play phone call between them where Samantha Bee calls her from The Ledge of the Death of Democracy and asks Warren to talk her off of it.

Actually, the very best part was when Warren said that she likes watching TV to relax and cited Ballers as one of her favorite shows, because “it’s actually a story about hard work. It’s a story about perseverance. It’s a story about having to reach within yourself and find something that you’re not a hundred percent sure is there.” She then flips out over a cardboard cutout of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, and it’s the most adorable thing ever.

Warren/Johnson 2020?
