Twitter Testing Out Profile Message Wall

Twitter is currently testing out a message wall on user profile pages, similar to those found on social networking sites. The wall is intended to help users reply to or mention other users a little more easily than how it currently works; as we all know Twitter has its own language that can be a little daunting to some users at first, making actually using the service counterintuitive.

While this kind of feature would be a decent first step in making the service a little easier to use, it wouldn’t lessen Twitter’s difficulty curve entirely; for instance, how counterintuitive (since they display in a backward order) reading a string of @ replies actually is. Remember, just because we learned how to do something a certain way doesn’t mean it can’t be done better. The message wall feature is currently being tested with only a small percentage of users.
