Trump Urges People Not to Feel ‘So Sorry’ for Joe Biden for Having Cancer, Calls Him a ‘Vicious’ Person
Even as Joe Biden's health declines, Trump isn't letting up with the insults.
At this point, it’s wise to assume that Donald Trump isn’t going to say anything positive about Joe Biden. Publicly, Trump has repeatedly mocked his presidential predecessor, and he’s now letting people know his feelings once again by calling Biden a “vicious person.”
In a resurfaced video from 2025 that’s currently gaining momentum on social media, Trump, while sitting in the Oval Office, speaks about Biden’s prostate cancer diagnosis. Responding to a journalist who asked him a question on the matter, Trump requested that they not feel too bad about his diagnosis, saying:
“He’s been a sort of a moderate person over his lifetime. Not a smart person, but a somewhat vicious person, I will say. If you feel sorry for him, don’t feel so sorry, because he’s vicious. What he did with his political opponent and all of the people that he hurt, he hurt a lot of people, Biden, so I really don’t feel sorry for him.”
Trump attacked Biden for not revealing his cancer earlier
In the same month, Trump again attacked Biden publicly. An article in People notes that on May 19, 2025, after Trump presented a Medal of Honor to a fallen officer’s family, he took questions from the press and was asked about Biden’s “aggressive” prostate cancer.
While mislabeling Biden’s stage 4 prostate cancer, with a Gleason score of 9, as Stage 9 cancer, Trump suggested that the diagnosis should have been revealed to the public sooner. “I think it’s very sad, actually,” Trump said while speaking to a reporter, before adding, “I’m surprised that it wasn’t notified a long time ago. Because to get to stage 9, it’s a long time.”
Biden’s cancer has spread to his bones
During an interview last week, Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, spoke about his father’s cancer diagnosis. Hunter, who appeared emotional and on the verge of tears after presenter Paddy O’Connell from BBC Two’s Newsnight asked him about his father’s health, said that Joe Biden was the center of the Biden family and of utmost importance not because of his public standing but because he was precious to every member of the family as a father, husband, and grandfather.
Hunter also gave viewers a sad update on Joe Biden’s cancer journey, saying it had become more serious. He said, “The cancer has spread. It’s metastasized into his bones and further. It’s very painful, and it’s very debilitating in many respects.”
