Guillermo del Toro’s long-awaited animated series is finally coming to Netflix this month, and judging from the trailer, it’ll be worth the wait.

Produced by Cha Cha Cha Films and DreamWorks Animation, the 26 episode series stars the late Anton Yelchin and Charlie Saxton as Jim and Toby, two best friends who discover a world of trolls beneath their hometown, and are then tasked with protecting it. Kelsey Grammer plays a nice troll named Blinky, and Ron Perlman plays a troll named Bular.

The Netflix YouTube account also shared a featurette yesterday with interviews from the director and cast. Steven Yeun, who plays a human named Steve, promises that the show will blow away both children and adults. “There’s a poetic component to it and a magical component to it,” says del Toro.

Trollhunters premiers December 23rd. Are you going to check it out?
