Teen Calls Her Parents ‘Poor’ After Not Receiving Rolls Royce. So, She Turns Down Her 18th Birthday G-Wagon and Gets a Reality Check
This young woman is the definition of ungrateful
One young lady got a brutal reality check after calling her parents poor for not getting her a Rolls Royce for her birthday. The 18-year-old made a video that’s doing the rounds on social media. She was upset that her parents got her a Mercedes Benz G Wagon instead of the Rolls. After a virtual tantrum, TikTok creator Ashley @ashmfrancisco got a hold of the video. And, she had to discuss how ungrateful this young person was.
Now, this wasn’t the only thing that “ruined” the young woman’s birthday. She said that her parents couldn’t get her a reservation at Nobu for the big day. Apparently, the didn’t try to get onto the list far enough in advance. Nobu is a fancy restaurant with multiple locations in the country. The family’s private chef also didn’t have her favorite breakfast ready either. Ashley couldn’t help rolling her eyes at the details.
The commenters were blown away by the entitlement in the story. TikTok allows people to share the granular details of their lives. But hearing these parents being called poor for handing an 18-year-old a G Wagon for their birthday was a bridge too far. @mamagunn said, “she needs to be cut off from everything for a year or two. And learn some real-life lessons. God forbid something ever happens to her parents.”

The text of the story is pretty rough. But, then the kid talked about her parents not loving her because they wouldn’t move into a bigger house. She felt like her folks were broke and holding that information from her because they wouldn’t pack up and leave on a whim.
Ashley describes it, “They live in a house where there’s 8 rooms, a big a** pool, a movie theater downstairs. And, like a gym and s*** downstairs!” The lack of gratitude is really what struck the poster. “So she feels like they’re poor and they don’t want to tell her that they’re poor. And, that they don’t love her enough? Girl, what? What are you? Are you f****** nuts?”
The story really hit home for a lot of the people listening. Ashley points out that she “grew up living house-to-house.” And, in public housing for good measure. If you have eight bedrooms and a movie theater, you’re probably not in the income bracket that people would associate poverty with. But, the story will get you all sorts of attention on social media. To be honest, that was probably the goal in the first place. But, this 18-year-old’s original video had people lining up to defend her parents. Hopefully, they found something to do with that G Wagon.
