Finally: The Last Dwarf

There And Back Again

Recommended Videos

Much like The Last Unicorn, Thorin Oakenshield (Richard Armitage)’s own Sears portrait has arrived to remind geeks in our late twenties that while we said goodbye to the Lord of the Rings movies eight years ago, our franchise is getting a surprise prequel by the same people who crafted the original and it isn’t over and there’s still stuff to look forward to and salivate over and stuff.

Yeah, that doesn’t have anything to do with The Last Unicorn. But can we point out Peter Jackson’s close connection to fans? He gave the final picture in the dwarf series, the one of the most important character, the leader of the whole group, to TheOneRing.net, the Tolkein fansite (who also have some high rez backgrounds of all the dwarves nicely photoshopped together, if you’d be into that sort of thing), instead of a mainstream news outlet. Good on ya, PJ.

Instead she stumbled into a great job: founding and running this very website (she's Editor at Large now, very fancy). She's spoken at events like Geek Girl Con, New York Comic Con, and Comic Book City Con, wants to get a Batwoman tattoo and write a graphic novel, and one of her canine teeth is in backwards.
