‘This is not okay’: Woman in airport toilet has privacy violated after cleaner decides they absolutely need to change the toilet roll in her stall
This cleaner needs to learn to knock first

Public restrooms may be “public,” but they still come with the expectation of at least a certain level of privacy. However, one woman using the toilets at Dulles International Airport found herself fighting for her right to use the toilet in peace after a toilet cleaner decided to change the toilet roll in her stall.
In the viral clip, which was posted to TikTok by “@Carofiney” the woman can be seen using her hand to attempt to cover a hole in the stall where the toilet roll usually sits. On the other side of the hole, the rest of the room outside can be seen, and presumably, anyone outside can see in. While the hole would typically be covered by a metal sheet, the cleaner has lifted it to replace the toilet paper, leaving the woman inside exposed.
The woman in the stall is heard repeatedly saying, “This is not OK,” but despite her protests, the cleaner seems to completely ignore her and continues with her cleaning. “You can literally see me naked, stop!” The woman tells the cleaner, whose response isn’t heard, but the woman then tells her, “Yes, you can see through the stall. Don’t do that again.”
The text in the video asks, “Am I wrong to be upset that this happened to me at the airport?” She points out that the cleaner was another woman, which was probably a little less concerning than if it were a man, but she also said that she was repeatedly ignored when she told the cleaner to stop.
TikTok is on the woman’s side
The comments on Carofiney’s video expressed support, with most taking her side and questioning the cleaner’s weird behavior. “She knew that she’d be able to see in your staw and still wanted to do it,” wrote one person, adding, “I hope she is fired.” Others commented on the bizarre design of the stalls that essentially allowed people to see in if the hatch was open, while more claimed that the janitor was intentionally being a “jerk to you.”
Some did defend the cleaner’s actions, claiming that she was “just trying to clock out and go home.” Another agreed that “she prob needs to get it done before her shift ends.”
However, most agreed with the woman in the stall, even suggesting that she take the matter further: “Forget contacting them, go straight to an attorney and report them to the state. This is huge lawsuit, email your local news,” one commenter advised.
