In honor of Star Trek‘s 50th anniversary, Mattel and CBS Consumer Products are releasing a Star Trek Anniversary Barbie Collection featuring Kirk, Spock, and Uhura. Each doll will be sold separately and run fans $34.99 when the collection hits stores later this month. What do you think of how your faves look in Barbie form? (via press release)

  • In other spider-news, Michael Barbieri has joined the cast of Spider-Man: Homecoming. 14-year-old Barbieri is a relative newcomer, and is also slated to appear in the upcoming adaptation of Stephen King’s The Dark Tower. Birth Movies Death reports that there are rumors Barbieri will play Ganke, a friend of Miles Morales’ from Ultimate Spider-Man.
  • The female stars of the movie Sadako vs. Kayako, which comes out in Japan later this month, showed up in-character to throw out the first pitch in a baseball game. Sadako vs. Kayako pits the ghost from Ringu against the spirit from the Ju-On franchise, so it made for quite the interesting sight. (via ComicBookMovie.com)
  • Slack says it will be rolling out an AI office manager in the near future. The bot will be able to learn info from public Slack channels in order to answer administrative questions. (via Popular Science)
