Joseph Gordon-Levitt was recently on Jimmy Kimmel Live to dispense a bit of wisdom regarding recreational pot use in a work setting. - LkCa 15b (we need to figure out more creative naming conventions) is in the process of becoming a planet. Scientists have been watching it very closely to see it develop. This marks the first documented case of a planet forming in space. We better throw a planet shower. (via Forbes)
- A brand new species of arachnid was found in Brazil, and get this: it’s been named after Smeagol. Iandumoema smeagol is from the same family as daddy long legs or harvestmen, which are apparently arachnids but not spiders.
