You think you know the best ENTP anime characters?
Well, you’re wrong.
Hate to break it to you, but you probably wouldn’t know a debater if they rebutted your point and broke apart all of your fallacious arguments. It’s okay. People are wrong all the time. INTJs think they have it all figured out, but sometimes have teensy little blind spots in their big master plans. And sometimes ENFP “campaigner” types end up campaigning for the wrong person place or thing. How embarrassing! Pretty funny though.
After all, it takes a debater to know a debater. And I know debating.
Debaters aren’t afraid to go against the status quo, in fact they love it. And they use all of their mental acuity on a problem.
I’ll give you an example: Mountain Dew and milk is actually really good.
“EW GROSS!” I’m sure you’re all saying, but think about it! Mountain Dew and milk is an unusual combination, but no one would say that about root beer and ice cream! But ice cream is basically just frozen milk, and root beer and Mountain Dew are pretty similar once you realize they’re both basically just sugar and corn syrup. It’s just milk and sugar! Even the Bible knew that was a good combo! Moses was always trying to find the Land of Milk and Honey right? Well the Land of Milk and Mountain Dew might as well be next door. It tastes like a sweeter root beer float! Trust me, you’ll love it. And if you don’t, even better, we can debate it.
Like these people do.
Satoru Goju
If Saturo Goju loves to go anywhere it’s against the grain. He just can’t stop himself! In a school full of dour, sour faced jujutsu sorcerer teachers, he’s the happy and go-lucky fun one! When the jujutsu sorcerer organization put a hit on one of his favorite students Yuji Itadori, he singlehandedly orchestrated a plan to save Yuji’s life! The man is a contrarian in every single way the he can be. He simply loves it. One of his greatest joys is poking holes in the plans of his superiors, and because he’s the most powerful sorcerer in all of existence, there’s nothing that anyone can do to stop him! He also loves goofing around with even his most serious-minded of friends, and is always trying to push the buttons of his straight laced pal Nanami. Gojuro hates feeling like he’s a pawn in someone else’s game, so he just starts making up his own rules! I’d argue that that’s the only way to live. But you can debate me on it! Seriously. Do it. Debating is my kink.
Edward Elric
This kid loves debating so much that he debates the very laws of nature. It’s a well known law that a human being can’t be transmuted by alchemical means, but did that stop Edward from trying? Hell no! He his brother Alphonse tried to transmute their mother back from the grave (with some pretty horrifying results). But the bright side is Edward also got to talk to God and learned how to use alchemy without a transmutation circle. So basically Edward does alchemy like no one else! And his unconventional approach to the art allows him to be one of the most powerful alchemists in all the land! Edward also loves giving a big ol’ middle finger to entrenched systems of authority, and starts battling against the government when he discovers evidence of a conspiracy. I’d argue that’s every citizen’s duty to do! But let’s debate it. C’mon. Tie me up and debate it. Slap me around with your logic. I love it.
Ryuk
Ryuk is the perfect devil’s advocate because he’s a literal devil. He’s always poking little holes in Light Yagami’s plans, and loves to debate Light on the finer details of his machinations. He also loves apples! What kind of demon loves apples? Trendsetter demons, that’s who! Ryuk loves sweet things in a way the seems to go against his demonic nature, but debaters love going up against nature, just ask Edward Elric! Ryuk doesn’t like to hotly debate anything though, and prefers to keep some of his opinions to himself. He if didn’t, he knows that his opinions would influence Light, and rather likes to watch Light make his own decisions in his battle of wits against the people trying to bring him down. Is Ryuk morally evil? Or can we not assign human mortality to him because he isn’t human? A wolf isn’t evil for killing a deer, is Ryuk evil for simply going along his nature? Debate my brains out! RIGHT NOW.
Radial Edward
Radical Edward loves throwing a wrench in everyone’s gears. Why? Cause it’s the most fun that a person can ever have, that’s why! Edward is a little hacker, and a genius one at that. Ed loves going into databases that are off-limits and tooling around with other people’s computer stuff. Ed is also wickedly creative, and comes up with brilliant bits of unconventional code that baffle even the most advanced computer security systems. If it plugs into the wall, Ed can probably hack it! Ed also loves to go against one of the most long-standing and unquestioned aspects of society: traditional gender identity! Ed is called a girl by their father, but presents as androgynous or male. Ed only refers to themself as “Ed”, so no one knows how Ed really identifies. It seems like Ed just identifies as Ed. Pretty forward thinking for a futuristic world! Do you think gender roles will completely go away in the future? Maybe! When they do, I’m going to change my pronouns from “they/them” to “you’re/wrong”.
Haruko Haruhara
Haruko Haruhara might be one the biggest rebels on Earth, and she’s not even from Earth. Haruko is an alien! A bass playing, moped driving alien! Now that’s definitely breaking the mould for aliens too, who thought that they’d be so cool? But she doesn’t even use her bass in a conventional way either! Instead of playing it, she usually just hits people in the head with it! Trendsetter! She’s a member of an organization called the Galactic Space Police Brotherhood, but don’t let the semblance of authority fool you, she’s always trying to stick it to the man! Or machine rather! Throughout the series, she is always trying to undermine a mysterious intergalactic organization called Medical Mechanica, whose only goal seems to be making robots and the domination of the universe. Medical Mechanica spaceships look like giant clothing irons, and they want to literally iron over ever planet and making every being in the galaxy think the way they do. And that’s whack! If we all thought the same, how could we debate anything? My entire personality would be gone in an instant! Poof. Good thing we have Haruko to protect us, or else we’d be drinking our Mountain Dew without any milk forver.
