When I say familiar character, I mean one of the big dogs. I’ll give you a hint: He’s been in every Star Wars feature film to date.

And he’s our only hope.

Fan site Jedi News stumbled across this info at a Star Wars Rebels action figure preview event, where they spotted a poster of the Fall 2014 figure line. Upon closer inspection, they found a noteworthy name on the list: Obi-Wan Kenobi.

Personally, I think this would be pretty promising news for the series. I was anticipating Rebels to be more of a spin-off adventure. I wasn’t expecting to see any existing characters, and certainly none as major as ol’ Ben. I’ve always wondered what he got up to during his hermit years. I guess we’re about to find out. Granted, there hasn’t been an official announcement about this yet, but…c’mon, there’s a tie-in action figure.

Seguing over to officially official news, Lucasfilm unveiled its first proper trailer for the series today, plus a 30-second version. I admit that the color scheme of Sabine’s Mandalorian armor made me roll my eyes, but your mileage may vary. All in all, I’m looking forward to checking this out. What do you guys think?
