Cute little moon, don’t you think? Think again, because it’s made of ice cream cake. Häagen-Dazs partnered with design firm Doshi Levien to create these cakes for the 2012 Christmas season. Above, the white moon, made of a “pistachio biscuit base, layers of macadamia nut ice cream and meringue and a coating of raspberry ice cream.” Below, the interior of the orange moon, with “crunchy chocolate at the bottom, layers of nutty ice cream and salted caramel and a coating of vanilla ice cream.”

I cannot fully express how much more exciting this is than astronaut ice cream.

Anybody else suddenly hungry?

Susana Polo thought she'd get her Creative Writing degree from Oberlin, work a crap job, and fake it until she made it into comics. Instead she stumbled into a great job: founding and running this very website (she's Editor at Large now, very fancy). She's spoken at events like Geek Girl Con, New York Comic Con, and Comic Book City Con, wants to get a Batwoman tattoo and write a graphic novel, and one of her canine teeth is in backwards.
