Seventh Son, starring Jeff Bridges as a witch-hunter, Ben Barnes as his first-day-on-the-job apprentice, and Julianne Moore as a dragon-witch thing, has been floundering around for a while now–we first told you about it over a year ago. Watching this new trailer, I can’t imagine why Legendary Pictures hasn’t rushed to get this absolute gem into theaters.
In all seriousness, this movie look bad, but it has an amazing cast. In addition to Bridges, Barnes, and Moore, there’s Djimon Hounsou, Game of Thrones‘ Kit Harington, Olivia Williams, Alicia Vikander (who was great in The Royal Affair), and Antje Traue, aka Faora aka the best part of Man of Steel. I think genuine quality is too much to expect at this point, but I’ll keep my fingers crossed for entertaining B-movie fantasy badness.
