Second Trailer for Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: Sword of Destiny Provides More Backstory

Michelle Yeoh continues to kick ass in the most recent Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: Sword of Destiny trailer as she takes on Natasha Liu Bordizzo’s character as a disciple and we see a few of their training scenes. I wasn’t the biggest fan of the first trailer for Netflix’s Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon sequel because of its unfortunate music choices and vagueness. The first trailer gave me the impression that Donnie Yen and Michelle Yeoh were going to play older, mentoring characters that would take an eventual backseat to Harry Shum Jr.’s role, but I’m happy to see it looks like Bordizzo’s character will play a large part especially since Zhang Ziyi won’t be there.

The music is much less distracting in this trailer and I feel like I’m already invested in some of these new characters (I do wish they’d calm down with the cheesy transitions though.)

Sword of Destiny comes out February 26th! What do you think about the new trailer?
