Plus more returning Clone Wars characters!

At the Star Wars Rebels panel at this year’s Star Wars Celebration, the crew behind the animated series shared a glimpse into the new season with a neat new trailer. Possible spoilers follow if you haven’t finished season one (go do that now)!

From IGN:

Of course, one character was shown who fans were first introduced to in Star Wars: The Clone Wars. Captain Rex appeared, grey-bearded and flanked by two other clones, fighting alongside the rebels in the season 2 reveal trailer shown during the panel.

Hondo Ohnaka will also be coming back from Clone Wars. Both characters will join Ahsoka, who came back during the season 1 finale of Rebels. Cad Bane was also teased as a possible returning character for season 2.

The return of these iconic Clone Wars characters in addition to Ahsoka’s return at the end of season 1 will surely rope in a lot of the fans who loved the old series.

Apparently during another panel, one about the Star Wars canon universe, fans got a bit belligerent and heckled the panelists.

According to The Daily Dot:

During the Q&A portion of the panel, attendees continued to ask the same question worded differently each time: Why won’t you bring back Star Wars Legends? Where is character X? When will XYZ happen? The panelists handled each question with diplomacy, tact, and charm while managing to restore civility each time the same question was asked.

How do you feel about the returning crew? What about the brand new canon?
