Chell Bakes a Cake [Video]

In Which We Don't Make An Obvious Pun

There’s not a lot to go on when you’re making a Portal fan movie about Chell. She hasn’t a single spoken line, no surname, no origin story beyond the vaguest of general details, and only one facial expression. In fact, simply applying any extra details at all can make her seem out of character. Outside Aperture, however, does a great job not only of fleshing Chell out without giving us any more details on her, but also at presenting her struggling against shellshock of her experiences without diminishing her personal strength.

And there are amusing day-to-day thinking with portals jokes. A+

Susana Polo thought she'd get her Creative Writing degree from Oberlin, work a crap job, and fake it until she made it into comics. Instead she stumbled into a great job: founding and running this very website (she's Editor at Large now, very fancy). She's spoken at events like Geek Girl Con, New York Comic Con, and Comic Book City Con, wants to get a Batwoman tattoo and write a graphic novel, and one of her canine teeth is in backwards.
