Firefly Online: Bringing Back the Verse

Join Quantum Mechanix as we share a demonstration of the only officially-licensed Firefly video game, Firefly Online (FFO). FFO is a multi-user strategic roleplaying game set in the universe of Joss Whedon’s beloved TV show, Firefly. We’ll bring The Verse to life by showcasing how to get yourself a ship, hire a ragtag crew and do whatever it takes to survive in The Black! This will also be the first opportunity to see a live demo of The Cortex, the new online community for FFO players. After our demonstration, we’ll have an open floor Q&A.

The Mary Sue has gathered Panelists for a discussion on representation in games and how it’s personally affected us in our lives, both in work and recreation. Panelists will discuss their favorite characters of color, LGBTQ characters, disabled characters, and female characters in the games industry, dovetailing into a discussion of how to bring that diversity into the most egalitarian games of all: tabletop (and live action!) roleplay.
