This article is over 9 years old and may contain outdated information

The great science fiction author and poet Margaret Atwood visited Reddit this week to answer the community’s questions about her work, the state of the world, and which literary character she’d date if she had to pick one. So far as I can tell, nobody asked the duck question. But here are some questions that WERE asked: On The Handmaid’s Tale: Handmaids Tale Writing Taxing Handmaid's Tale sources Handmaid's Tale Epilogue On speculative dystopia and its relationship to our present: Handmaid, Dystopia What to Do About Everything On books and reading:   Favorite Book Date a Literary Character On writing and creative work: Creative Pursuits Most Frightening book On her contribution to the Future Library: The Future Library   On her personal religious beliefs: Spiritual Beliefs And, of course, the author stepped in to “enhance” a reader’s marriage: enhanced marriage But that’s just a few of the answers Atwood gave. You can read more of her on writing, Canadian literature, and how she got into Twitter, right here on r/Books.

Susana Polo thought she'd get her Creative Writing degree from Oberlin, work a crap job, and fake it until she made it into comics. Instead she stumbled into a great job: founding and running this very website (she's Editor at Large now, very fancy). She's spoken at events like Geek Girl Con, New York Comic Con, and Comic Book City Con, wants to get a Batwoman tattoo and write a graphic novel, and one of her canine teeth is in backwards.
