What a lovely day.

Just in case you still had some questions about Furiosa or any of the other myriad throwaway references in Mad Max: Fury Road, Vertigo is here to satisfy you with a comic miniseries based on the Imperator herself. And judging by the exclusive preview over at BuzzFeed, the series looks super promising.

The comic seeks to fill in some context for the movie, mostly focusing on Furiosa and her relationship with Immortan Joe’s wives. She stands watch, brooding, over the wives, and through their conversations, offers some interesting insight into the whys and wherefores of Furiosa.

It’ll be neat to learn exactly how they ended up escaping from the Citadel and what went down in the time before Max ended up on the scene. Furiosa and the wives are all incredibly rich characters, so to be able to learn more and spend more time with them through this comic is a real opportunity. Check out the full preview over at BuzzFeed.
