Trailer for L.A. Noire, Rockstar’s Upcoming Game, Displays Incredible Facial Animations

L.A. Noire, an upcoming game from Team Bondi and Rockstar Games, has a long history of being mentioned, but rarely having any information regarding the game available. Well, a new trailer has finally been released, and aside from capturing the feel of genuine film noir, the human animations in the trailer look incredible, making the trailer a must-see.

Personally, after having watched the trailer a few times, I realized I wasn’t at all creeped out by the strikingly similar facial expressions and body movements, which made me wonder if L.A. Noire is the first step toward eliminating the uncanny valley, or if I’ve just been overly exposed to video games and as a result, have been completely desensitized to the uncanny valley.
